The Possession is one of 2012's most surprising Horror movies and it is the best PG-13 Horror film ever made and a lot more better than the Lousy The Apparition. The plot of this film is pretty simple and this movie is about a man name Clyde who is divorced from his wife and lately his kids spend time with him in his new house.

After Clyde's youngest daughter buys a mysterious box strange things start to happen to his daughter when she started acting strangely and starts having tantrums and soon Clyde discovered that his daughter is possessed by the dybbuk spirit that hides in the box that Em bought and Clyde must seek help from someone who can remove the dark spirit that hides in her body.

To be honest I was having low expectations about this new Ghost House pictures flick from Sam Raimi. But when I watched this film I ended being surprised. Although I never watched any of Director Ole Bornedal's movies and I only heard of his other films in the 21st Century which is The Substitue and his early films which is Nightwatch and its remake I was amazed though with Ole Bornedal's work on this film and I'm interested to watch his previous films as well.

I seriously enjoyed this film and if you ignore the slow pace of the film you'll just end up liking this movie. This is such a fascinating PG-13 Ghost flick that has a huge amount of impressive ideas and its basic concept is just like The Exorcist which I totally enjoy in the film and I did like everything overall in the film so far.

What's great about The Possession is that the whole film has a really dark and creepy feel and this movie is also full of atmosphere and it doesn't get boring or tedious it is just a plain successful Horror film that can scare you to death.

There are lots of scenes where the atmosphere is well used. The Hospital finale scene and the gas station scene where Em goes to search for the box has the best use of atmosphere and those scenes are so creepy and the atmosphere in those scenes are seriously well used and I was amazed with Bornedal's ideas so far in the movie.

What I also like about The Possession is that the whole film is full of suspenceful and tense scenes. The opening scene with the old lady getting attacked by some unknown force is one of the most suspenceful scenes in the film and the scene where the teacher gets attacked by some unknown force is one of the scariest parts of the film and I did enjoy those scenes in the movie so far.

And scenes where the moth keeps coming out is one of the creepiest moments in Horror history even the scene where Em is looking at her father while he's reading a part from the bible and the bible suddenly gets thrown off his hand is one of the most intense parts of the film that is so scary and creepy as well.

Now the acting is great and the actors and actresses did a really good job with they're work in the film so far. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was really good with his performance in the movie and I was amazed with his role in the film as the father of Em and the actress who played Em in the film is so creepy and yet she can act really well and I was proud with that actress' performance so far.

Director Ole Bornedal does a unique job in making a good PG-13 Horror film and he really knows his work in Horror and I'm interested to see his next films in the future so far and I'm sure Ole Bornedal will still make more Horror films in the nearby future.

Overall this movie gets a 10/10 because this is the Horror film that I consider as the real deal because this movie has all of the things you wanted from a Horror movie and forget about The Apparition which is one of 2012's biggest disappointments I highly suggest this movie if your looking for a good PG-13 Horror film with efficient scares I highly suggest this one it will creep and freak you out as well.
