Remember when Ole Bornedal looked like he had a promising future as a horror director? I guess that was wrong. This is mostly an "Exorcist" rip-off that fails at even being an effective rip-off since it lacks edge.
Scare scenes lead up to stuff that isn't really shown, since it would lose it's PG-13 rating if it were more than a big tease. The predictable plot substitutes a Jewish demon for the usual Catholic one, but nothing interesting is done with this difference.
