How could anyone NOT enjoy this movie. It is a product of its time, yes, but what a time it was! All those famous actors in the same film! That's something you don't see today. Except for the most dangerous sequences, all of the stunts were done by the actors themselves. Again something you don't see today!
Look at the art direction - all real sets and effect - no CGI except for part of the big wave itself. It was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won for Best Song.
