Review of The Poseidon Adventure (1972) by Jason — 28 Dec 2008
This movie is really remarkably un-dated except for the clothes and the song -- it's refreshingly free of bad dramatic music during tense scenes, and the effects remain quite effective, keeping the focus on the performances rather than explosions and tearing metal.
The acting is generally terrific and with the exception of the passive, personality-free singer, the female characters are quite strong.
