One of the funniest movies I've ever seen where the comedy isn't about pratfalls and jokes but just well-drawn and well-acted characters. Eric Roberts and Mickey Rourke don't hit a false note in the film.
Ditto Kenneth McMillan, Jack Kehoe, Burt Young, Geraldine Page, and even Darryl Hannah. Favorite scene is when Eric Roberts and Mickey Rourke discuss their plan to rob a safe while Kenneth McMillan orders Chinese takeout from a street vendor.
No one mugs or tries to be funny, just three terrific actors saying and doing subtle and hilarious things that are true to their characters.
