Review of The Pool (2001) by Brett M — 21 Apr 2008
The Sarah Morton character so reminds me of the lead in The Piano Teacher. God, both women are so repressed and spinsterish you know something is eventually going to brake. Also both women encounter a beautiful, young, sexy and full of life character that they inevitably clash horns with. Sexual tension and personalty clash frustration. Both, women become mildly painful to watch.
Beautiful movie over all, and wildly delicious ending. Subtle and mildly surreal near the end. One of my favorite palette sensation.
