Review of The Pool (2001) by Don M — 24 Jan 2010
I really liked this film! Charlotte Rampling is simply outstanding as Sarah, an uptight British writer trying to recapture her imagination while spending a summer in Franch. This film buzzes with sexual energy, brought mainly through the character of Julie, Sarah's young free-wheeling housemate.
The way the film ends is perfect, and forces the viewer to reflect on the film long after its final credits roll. Definitely a favorite.
