Ozon would have made clouzot proud with this thriller. charlotte rampling is perfect in the role of the crime write. sagnier may not have been the best choice for her role, but she is passable. its a well shot film with wonderfully written characters, and a confounding twist.
the twist wasnt what made the film, though. it was more the way that the characters build toward a plot that allows for it. good stuff.
