Review of The Pledge (2001) by Dave G — 20 May 2008
A chilling, character driven drama directed effectively by Sean Penn.
Unsurprisingly, Jack Nicholson shines amidst a stellar cast with an emotional and underrated performance as a retired sheriff who continues to investigate a case even though he has left the force.
Beautifully shot and with a great soundtrack, The Pledge is a great little movie.
