Review of The Pledge (2001) by Jeremy S — 22 May 2010
A very brave film, for the subject matter Penn chose to use and a bittersweet ending. Something bad is going to happen but we aren't quite sure what! Nicholson portrays Jerry Black, as he seeks to live up to a pledge to track down the killer of a little girl, but can he solve the mystery before it corrupts him? Also watch out for an outstanding cameo appearance from Micky Rourke.
