Review of The Pledge (2001) by Matt S — 12 Jan 2011
This is Jack Nicholson doing a cop drama. It's a pretty good one until this subplot of his character's psychosis comes into play. The film also has lulls of Nicholson just reflecting on his age by fishing.
However, the film is propelled by an unnatural directing style and a great cast that will keep you watching. If only the ending were better!
