Review of The Pledge (2001) by Henry Hull H — 29 Aug 2011
The build-up of Sean Pen's third movie was great, it kept me guessing just like Jack Nicholson wether the killer was actually there or it was an obsession from the mind. We got some nice cameos, a brilliant one from MIckey Rourke, some cop-movie cliche and a whole lot of Jack Nicholson.
The little girl kept me asking just how sick is Sean Penn. In the end he is not that sick but sick enough to not give you your vanilla cop thriller, but I think he does not finds the right answer. There is some nasty gore in this picture.
