This movie has all the heart and soul that the Ice storm never had. Considering it was written years before there is no doubt this was the original story. It all rang true with me; characters, plot, direction.
Taken from a magnificent screenplay, The Playroom is a triumph! You've never seen John Hawkes like this, and probably won't again. Molly Parker is scary good, and Olivia Harris is on the money.
All the kids were right on. This is true indie at its best!
