Review of The Player (1992) by Sean C — 16 Mar 2007
A brilliantly satirical comedy poking fun at Hollywood's greed and lust for cash making blockbusters. There's a decent murder story in there too which is symbolic. Player, who turns down movie ideas left and right for the fact that won't make money, accidentally kills a creative and original writer who confronts him and his ignorant ways.
This sort of tongue-in-cheek irony litters the movie along with a pretty impressive list of cameos.
