Review of The Player (1992) by Ahmed F — 23 Oct 2009
It's amazing how Altman delivered such great and complicated script on screen with such smoothness, presenting an old fashion crime film through Tim Robbins, but with integrating sub-stories.
The Cinema related details along with the crime tone and psychological references reminds me of Sunset Boulvd., but it's not an attempt to immitate Billy wilder's classic as much as it's a new story from a similar territory told with impressionistic look.
