Review of The Player (1992) by Jareth S — 07 Nov 2010
If you have even the slightest interest in the world of moviemaking, this satirical jab at the power brokers in Hollywood is a must-see. I'm not sure I've ever seen a movie with this many celebrity cameos.
This is my favorite Robert Altman movie yet and has a great extended dolly shot that runs around 7-8 minutes -- longer than Orson Welles' famous Touch of Evil opening scene that a character references.
