Review of The Plague of the Zombies (1966) by Colin F — 27 Mar 2011
Only in a Hammer Horror film would you find some English Baron practising Voodoo in some remote Cornish village to bring the dead back to life to mine tin in a disused mine!
I absolutely love it though; Plague of the Zombies is a classic, well made and has some great characters. As for the zombies themselves they are very well realised and there are two scenes in this film which could possibly be Hammers most frightening. The dream sequence is not for the faint hearted.
Not the best script but highly entertaining all the same.
