I had to force myself to finish watching this tedious anime. It's ridiculously slow-paced. There is no joy, no anger, no other emotion but melancholy. Rainy/snow covered landscapes and whispered voice-overs may have worked in a shorter film but here it makes for a terrible 90 minutes.
Everything about the movie oozes dreariness. Two stars because it incorporates some interesting science fiction concepts even dough it never follows through with them.
