Review of The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) by Angie W — 15 Oct 2013
This movie hits you hard emotionally, the actors offered an authentic portrait of Fathers & Sons and the connection that lies between them forever. Gripping and painful look into the world of poverty, love, hate and the repercussions of social climbing.
Goslings character was fierce and showed the anger and love of a father to a son. Cooper's character also excellent played a character very interested in climbing the social ladder not feeling it until later in life that he ruined a families future and well being.
Great portrait of sacrifice.
