Review of The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) by Chris C — 08 Nov 2013

This ambitious drama really impressed me. The continuous opening shot that ends with an amazing motorcycle stunt caught my attention from the start. Gosling was gritty and intense. He and Cooper create three dimensional characters that play out the most interesting story lines of the film.

For me, the third act was a bit contrived and predictable, but served as an adequate ending. I enjoyed it a lot and strongly recommend it.
