Review of The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) by Raya P — 18 Jun 2014
Good movie. I'd been wanting to see this movie for a while. I wish I saw it a while ago. Movie is all about the importance of having a father. All the characters have daddy-issues. All of varying kinds.
Having no father, having a distant father, or having a father you can never live up to. Bad things happen to everyone but when Bradley Cooper goes to his Dad, he gets the advice he needs to change things around.
Moral of the story is your Dad is hugely important to a young man, and he's the only one that can help you out when things get bad. Thanks for the reminder Hollywood.
