Interesting storyline, but the movie never fully delivers. Just when it began to get interesting, for example, with Ray Liotta's character, we never see them again. The actor who played Avery's (Bradley Cooper) son, was like a teamster from Brooklyn.
I couldn't get past his thick accent and over the top acting. In the end, I felt cheated by a meandering story that never fully developed, leaving me in a place way beyond the pines, with no way home.
