Review of The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) by Pip D — 08 Oct 2015
A brilliant 3 act play linked by circumstance. As much as I love Gosling in his dark, moody roles, I was beginning to wonder how much more I could take when the film completely changed tack and then once more again.
Possibly the best role I've seen Cooper in; definitely Mendes. Liotta never fails to live up to his part either. I was also taken with the two young actors at the end - both playing their part brilliantly.
I would recommend this film to anyone.
