Review of The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) by Danny N — 05 Jan 2014
Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper trade lives Freaky Friday-style in an exchange of gunfire. Each leaves behind a son, figuratively or literally. In an indigestion-inducing dramatic turn, their sons meet as teenagers.
Each a product of his respective parenting, it's a wonder that the 15-year story ends in a hint of redemption and closure. An amazing, bumpy ride.
