Review of The Pixar Story (2007) by Ryan P — 12 May 2009
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Leslie Iwerks, granddaughter of the late, great animator Ub Iwerks, really shines. This goes into great detail and interviews all the key players such as John Lassiter, Steve Jobs, and even George Lucas.
A can't miss film if you are a Pixar fan or interested in the early struggles of these fantastic animators and 3D animation in general. Some cool early footage (like the crew's reaction when they find out how much Monsters Inc.
grossed opening weekend), awesome storyboards, and details of the feuds between Pixar and Disney traditional animators.
