Review of The Pixar Story (2007) by Aaron B — 08 May 2011

This is a fairly generic profile piece that tells the story of Pixar. So if you are interested in the company at all, or even just curious about what was behind making the movies, this is a good movie. But it doesn't really venture beyond that. And that is the only bad about this movie. It's a big range for bad, but that's about it. Everything else if very good.

This movie really goes deep into the start-up and tells the history of animation as it pertains to the rise of computer animation. From there, it tells the history, players and business dealings of the little studio that could. It could be a fluff piece, but it takes the time to single out the players and technology, and that is enough to keep it above water and interesting.
