Review of The Pixar Story (2007) by Ken S — 02 Jan 2012
Excellent feel good documentary telling the story of Pixar from John Lasseter and other animators beginnings in California Institute of the Arts, through his early work with Disney, his subsequent firing, and the work that lead to the founding of Pixar and how the studio has thrived for over 10 years with popular successes, both in box office and critical acclaim.
It makes you feel good that someone like Lasseter can work so hard, produce legitimately good work and somehow managing to succeed in a world like Hollywood. The documentary is engaging and well shot, and tells its story really well.
