Review of The Pixar Story (2007) by Anonymous User — 19 Aug 2008
Felt a little bit like a sales pitch for Pixar but considering its being retooled into a DVD special feature for WALL-E, that's totally understandable. What The Pixar Story does have is a pretty robust history of the company with the first half of the movie really focusing on Pixar in the '80s before Toy Story put them on the map nearly 15 years later.
Probably the most interesting part was when they shown the Jeffrey Katzenberg produced "edgy" storyboard for Toy Story which was scrapped for it being unwatchable, the same guy was the driving force behind the mostly derivative Dreamworks Animation movies.
