Review of The Pirate Movie (1982) by Matthew R — 14 Dec 2015
A 80s movie if ever there was one. You're not gonna find something deep and emotional here, but if you take the time to sit back and enjoy a silly film for what it is you'll find you get a lot more out of it.
For what amounts to a B movie the music is fairly well made and the actors clearly seemed to enjoy putting this together. A few dull lines, or played too long to enjoy moments do exist which over all hurts the general rating I would give this piece.
Still it's enjoyable by people of all ages and frankly if you can stand a few bad lines anyone who watches this movie is almost certainly going to find something they liked. If you go through the entire film and can honestly say you didn't enjoy anything (not even the candles!?) well.
.. I can say that movies like this (and B movies in general) aren't ever gonna be your thing, and that's alright. Nonetheless, still worth a shot and has a full recommendation.
