The second one runs very much in the same vein as the first one, the same cast mostly, the same jokes mostly, and the same story exactly. It follows the most conventional plot with the most cliched jokes with blatant ignorance of the loose threads in the story - but I guess in comedy more than any other genre, you remember only the fragments, the gags, and not the messy plot line - and this case some gags were not bad at all, and were a step-up from the first one (the karate kids were too much though).
