They didn't need a sequel to the first semi dud that was only mildly better then this. steve martin has charisma but the rest of the cast is wasted. I don't know how such a talented cast can commit to a film with no plot or story.
Sadly the talents of peter sellers in the lead will firmly be placed in my mind for ever and the idea of his legacy being tarnished by inferior remakes won't help matters.
Stay with the original series and you can't go wrong.
