Review of The Pink Panther 2 (2009) by Michael D — 24 Apr 2011
Well, "The Pink Panther 2" was not a bad film. Slightly better than the first, though. What I thought would be exactly the same as the first was actually quite different and very funny. Steve Martin's accent is great and so is Andy Garcia's character, but this is by no means Steve Martin's funniest film.
It's not much like the first, but it sort of is. There's a crime committed, Clouseau has to solve it, but this time, he teams up with detectives from across the globe. I won't reveal who the bad guy (or girl) actually is (or are), but about halfway through the movie (if you have a brain) will solve who it is.
The best scene in the movie (for me) takes place at the Vatican in Italy, where Clouseau impersonates the Pope. Well, anyways, it's funny, it's funnier than the first, but still a usual Panther film, but really, I enjoyed it!
