This is silly, simple and funny. Nothing much to compare for the new update version. The french official ask John Cleese if Steve Martin is able to represent France to join the dream team of top investigators to catch famous burglar Tornado.

John thought he was chosen. Steve is assign to traffic by him. He just install CCTV and voice recorder in his office. Steve came in and his pen detected frequency and tears all devices. Steve is chosen because he solve the case in the first movie.

Steve and Emily Mortimer fall in love but have to pretend. Their date in a restaurant is a disaster because Steve burnt the place. The dream team consist of Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina and Yuki Matsuzaki.

Aishwarya Rai join in as well but says she is not a full fledge investigator. Jean Reno quarrel with his wife and bring his 2 kids and dog to stay with Steve. Yuki trace the computer system to a place in Rome.

Steve know Andy like Emily and bad mouth her. They go to Rome to find Jeremy Irons, who is famous black market art dealer, long suspected to be Tornado. Steve snoop around his villa and make a mess of himself.

Jeremy have no bullet wound on his shoulder like tornado. The real tornado Johnny Hallyday hide in his villa. Jean found a half shred note which state meeting at the restaurant Steve burnt down. The duo stakeout there to listen to Jeremy.

They saw Andy and Emily dating too. Steve pretend to be dancer to get in and want to replant the device at Emily table. He accidentally burnt the place again. The pop ring is stolen and people booed the dream team.

Steve interview the pope and try to enact the scene. Andy found a key and kept quiet. Steve fell down the balcony and is a disgrace. When he go home, the 2 boys attack him with karate. The press once again caught him dangling the boys over the balcony.

The team want Steve out. Aishwarya like Steve and they hug in Emily office. She saw them accidentally and told him they have solve the case. They track down the key to the home of Johnny and he was dead.

Every treasure he stoeln are return except Pink Panther. He left a suicide note and say it is too beautiful he will not give it back. Aishwarya says he is an expert in gems and she done research on him, sad to see him dead.

Steve strongly claim he isn't the real thief. The press declare all hero except Steve. At the gala dinner, Steve isn't invited. Aishwarya says she will be leaving afterwards. Steve remember her car plate number and ask Jean to do something.

Inside, he tell John Aishwarya is the real thief. Everyone laugh. Emily want to check her purse and she take out a gun to point her. Steve emerge and he got shot but luckily the medal block the bullet.

Aishwarya is trap and shoot the Pink Panther to dust. Jean knock her down and catch her. Steve reveal he has issue ticket to her car 2 days before she claim of her arrival in France. And she mention tornado is a gem expert.

Steve has replace the real Pink Panther with a replica that was given to him days before it is stolen, so therefore if tornado got the fake gem how can he not know. Aishwarya use this to blame on tornado to divert attention on her.

Andy help Steve to reveal his love for Emily and they both married with John as witness. He pull the wine cork and activated the SWAT team. He can't remember the password and the newly married couple left to catch their plane.
