Review of The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story (2003) by Martin I — 11 Sep 2011
A decent talking-heads documentary, that is more TV doc than a film. It's interesting for fans and non Floyd fans alike as we discover backstage issue about the band and it's ever changing line-up. It's not drawn out, and people involved don;t dwell on any particular issues. This makes it so it;s not boring, but there's no key sequence to build to - no key person that is left to the end to talk to.
It doesn't break any new ground, and as a film and documentary it is pretty average. However, it is informative and entertaining in parts and is worth checking out.
