Review of The Pillow Book (1995) by Lynn B — 12 Sep 2007
Peter Greenaway made the only movie I was ever grossed out enough by to walk out on (The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover) Less visceral, this movie is also disturbing but also so wonderfully wrought and beautiful that it clings to you like a scent long after you can't remember the dialogue.
Many elements pay tribute to contemporary Conceptual Art. Gorgeous.
