Review of The Piano Teacher (2001) by Fredrick R — 04 Oct 2008
Nly the French could make such a dark twisted sexual drama.
An unfeeling, uptight cold hearted spinster/shrew master class piano teacher (who lives with her equally if not more so uptight coldhearted mother) ends up having a lot more going on underneath the surface with her secret masochistic fantasies.
A young, handsome, if not pretentious engineering student and virtuoso piano teacher becomes enraptured with her and enters her class, claiming to be in love with her, only after hearing her play once.
Little does he know that he is being drawn into her S&M game.
And little does she know that hes a fast learner.
