Review of The Piano Teacher (2001) by Jennie R — 14 Nov 2010
A critic described this film as "the equivalent to staring into an open wound." I think that best describes this film. Huppert plays a stoic woman trapped in her fetishes and desires. Madness starts to seep in from the cracks a young man has made on her heart.
Huppert and Magimel truly show their talent in this film. This is a heavy film to watch. Not a first date rental but a Great conversational piece.
