Jane Campions erotic arthouse movie about a mute woman who moves to New Zealand with her daughter because of an arranged marriage in 1850s. The cast are all great with special nod to just 9-year old Paquin who pulls off a credible performance at a such yopung age.
Music (surprise!) is memorable and special kudos to Hunter for playing all the solos herself. The end is a bit weird (sort of forced twist from a more traditional ending).
