Depth and emotion told through body language and piano talent by Holly Hunter (Oscar win), a complex child for an interpreter with more lines than any other character (Oscar win for a young Ann Paquin), and an effective poetic melodrama for a screenplay (third Oscar win), this is one of the rarest genre mixes of cinema worth of masterpiece labeling.
