Review of The Pianist (2002) by James O — 21 May 2011
Emotionally taut, historically significant film taking us back into the Warsaw ghetto. The relationships required to maintain anonymity in the outside world are very well developed. The personal struggle of a talented man clinging to life in order that he can share his talent and share his memories.
For all his sins Polanski should not be denied this excellent film.
