A great story of the survival of passion and compassion amid the adversity of living within the Warsaw Ghetto during the German occupation and the Holocaust. Polanski, who survived the same, presents a stirring visual imagery as faithful as possible to WÅ,adysÅ,aw Szpilman's poignant retort.
