Many holocaust/ ww2 movies have been filmed and it's actually kind of hard to find one with generally negative reviews because its almost like if you say something bad about a holocaust movie, then you are siding with the Nazis.
Nevertheless, The Pianist really is a good film. You won't find a single review that doesn't mention the power of Adrian Brody's acting, but thats because he single-handedly carries the film on his back.
And that would deserve praise with or without the context of the holocaust. Schindler's List remains the best holocaust film by a long-shot, but just because The Pianist isn't as good as Schindler's List doesn't mean that The Pianist isn't a good movie.
