Review of The Pianist (2002) by Andy B — 31 Jul 2013
An amazing achievement. Polanski's restraint and focus delivers a holocaust drama that never gives in to sentimentality. The result is a harrowing study that is embedded by Adrien Brody's wonderful performance.
This is a landmark film that honours one of the most significant events of last century and does so with artistry and heart.
