Review of The Pianist (2002) by Dc E — 07 Feb 2012
Far superior to Schindlers list, a film about the Holocaust should be told from a neutral point of view, rather than a pro judaism position. The Pianist does this, taking sides at no time and delivering the story for what it is without opinion.
Polanski shows that he's still got it, and proves to be one of his best to date. Adrien Brody is superb, though a little unemotional in the character at times, considering the events his character goes through.
The scenery and story shocking yet honest and realistic, leavign the viewer in a state of suspense and uneasiness throughout the whole film.
