I have only known about the Jew Holocaust of the Germans recently, because that has never been a part of anything that I studied or saw. So for me, the first half of The Pianist was more of a revelation and I simply liked that part very much. Compared to the first half, the second half was a tad disappointment. I didn't like it when the attention was shifted from a Holocaust to a one man survival drama. However Adrian Broody's performance was enjoyable. I also didn't like it when they failed to tell you what happened to Broody's family and the woman who helped him.
