Review of The Pianist (2002) by Valentin G — 27 Mar 2015
A film of genius, painted on the screen with the brushstrokes of a Rembrandt reminding us there is light even in the monstrous blackness that befell these folks in such a dark moment of our history . It was brilliant to portray the german commandant who bonded with the pianist, to show that even in the blackest moment there is the promise of a beacon of light.
