Review of The Pianist (2002) by Mike V — 20 May 2016
The Pianist is a 2002 biographical drama film co-produced and directed by Roman Polanski,.
The first half of the film deals with the plight of the Jewish people, an the second half, which contains little dialogue, deals with the plight of Szpilman. Based on a true story, the movie is interesting from an historical viewpoint. But I found it to be too long and with poor editing between scenes, some of which could have been excluded. I was also expecting to have more of an emotional connection with the lead character.
