Review of The Philadelphia Story (1940) by Brent M — 13 Mar 2008
I was impressed by the strong personalities presented by both Hepburn's character and her "little sister" but the times do shine through blatantly both in the speech her father gives her about why it's okay for men to see other women and what Jimmy Stewart's character does at the end in front of his own girlfriend??? Neither of which you would see quite the same way in a movie today.
..All in all, enjoyable and worth watching.
