Review of The Philadelphia Story (1940) by Codie E — 13 Sep 2010
Charming, funny and very well performed. Grant is devilish, Hepburn spirited and Stewart was joyous. Writer Donald Ogden Stewart claimed the play was perfect and didn't need changing and this very well could be the case but Cukor moves all these pieces around his chessboard masterfully.
