George Cukor knew how to captivate audiences. This joyful and zany screwball comedy draws us in thanks to its remarkable stars. The actors are perfectly cast. Hepburn, Grant and Stewart - what a line up! The appeal is in watching these legendary actors play these roles with such fervor and humor.
Stewart walked away with an Oscar. I suppose he knew what it was like being drunk. He certainly nailed it.
